A Bridal Shower Victorian Style

This weekend Janel and I hosted a bridal shower for our future sister-in-law, Amanda. We are both bridesmaids in Amanda and Chad's wedding and are so excited to share in their special day. Janel and I wanted to have the shower in Bloomington because most of our family is still in the area. My house wasn't going to be big enough for the shower so we started looking for somewhere to have it. I remembered that my Nana had gone to a shower at the David Davis Mansion a few years ago so I checked into it. Janel thought it was a great idea and when I asked Amanda she was really excited about it too. We ended up finding a date for it and getting everything scheduled. Basically all Janel and I had to do was send out the invitations, everything else was handled the the "Tea Ladies". The shower ended up turning out wonderful. We had a great day and it was the largest shower they've ever had at the Mansion. I'm so glad that we decided to go this route and I would highly recommend this venue for a bridal shower. I didn't take as many pictures as I would have liked to but here are some of my favorites. It is still a lot...

Sydney with "Flat" Daddy before the shower.

Gracie with "Flat" Daddy.

Both girls pose with "Flat" Daddy. I'm so amazed how close they are in size. I'm sure Sydney will pass up Grace and Grace will be sad about it! She likes being the big sister and I think that Sydney being bigger than hen with not be good.

One of the tables at the shower. We had a traditional Victorian Tea. It was awesome!

Grace was very excited to go to her first tea party!

The Tea Ladies did a program on a traditional Victorian Wedding. It was very interesting.

We gave out sugar cookies shaped like engagement rings as a party favor. They turned out really cute and tasted awesome!!

After the shower we got together with my family. The four older kids were acting like our fireplace was a stage. They are so crazy!!
