Mike's Flight Out!

Here is a video clip that I took of Mike's group departing for Texas.  He is in helicopter #2.  It was very cool to watch them all leave.  Grace was yelling at them to just stay and shoot the bad guys when they come here.  Crazy girl!!

 

 

Happy Birthday Pa-Pa Fred

We celebrated my Dad'd birthday with a family dinner at Schooner's. There were over 20 of us and Aunt Nancy even made her famous apple pie. I love that my family is so close. Of course we missed Mike but he was able to call during lunch and talk to my Dad.

Back to Blogging - Saying Goodbye

It is hard to believe that we are on deployment number two for the Heuer family but it's happened again.  When Mike got home in 2009 he said that the next deployment was 2013.  Neither of us actually believed that it would really happen.  All last year our Army friends would talk of the upcoming deployment and Mike would just tell me that he really didn't think that they were going. Well, on January 26th we had to say goodbye our our favorite man.  He is training for a few months and then will head overseas.  We do get to see him at the end of March for a few days and are very excited.  Thanks everyone for all of your love and wonderful support.  We couldn't do any of this without the wonderful people in our lives.  We are blessed!  Here are photos from Mike's departure...
