The girls and I had a great Friday off!! I started the day with a good workout with my friend Jill. When I got home from working out the girls and I talked to Mike on Skype for about and hour and then headed off to the pool for the afternoon. It was the first time we've been able to go this year and we had a blast. Both girls love the water and even graduated from the tot pool slide to the bigger slides. Last year Sydney wanted no part of going down any of the slides or the lazy the river. This year she is going it all. The girls were so good for me at the pool. The older they get the easier it is to take them out by myself. After swimming all afternoon we came home and got cleaned up and headed out for dinner and then a little shopping. We ended the evening by driving out to Mom's to watch the fireworks. The day could only have been better if Mike were here to join us. Holidays aren't the same when your loved one is have a world away but we'll make the best of it!!
