Niagara Falls Trip

Back in June, Mike had a class for work in Rochester, New York. Rochester is in upstate New York and not far from Niagara Falls. Neither of us had ever been so I decided to join Mike part way through his trip and we made a mini vacation out of it. It was nice to have a few days away. We were only able to spend a few hours at the Falls since Mike had class all day. It was still amazing and well worth the trip. We plan to take our girls back sometime and do more of the tourist activities. We did take our passports and went to the Canadian side. I posted a picture on Facebook and a friend I went to school with who lives in New York gave us the name of a yummy restaurant for dinner. The power of social networking! On the last day of our trip in New York we drove to Syracuse and had dinner with some old friends, Tim and Shelly. Tim used to work at State Farm with me. He moved back home in 2003. It was great seeing him even though it didn't feel like long enough. Here are some pictures we took. It doesn't do justice to just how amazing of a site it is but here you go...

Self Portraits from my iPhone! The first is on the Canadian side and the second photo on the American side.

We would have loved to do the boat trip but it was already closed when we arrived.

These pics are all on the America side of the Falls!
